STUDENT COMMUNITY

The members of the student community at the LjubljanaWoodwork High School Secondary School are all the presidents and their deputies of the departmental student communities.

Mentorship: Jože Šemrov

In case of various complaints, students first turn to the class teacher, who assesses them and tries to resolve the problems. Otherwise, he/she forwards the complaints to the Principal. The principal informs the class teacher of the solution or the way the complaint is to be solved (class teacher assembly, whole teacher assembly, committee, inspection). Common problems can also be solved in student community meetings.

The student community mentor communicates suggestions, wishes at the pedagogical or editorial conferences. Suggestions from students are particularly welcome, such as improving lessons, increasing school attendance, helping each other, increasing discipline, etc.

Collective requests and complaints concerning their activities are submitted by the departmental communities and the student community to the school administration office. The proposal for a solution to the application is made by the extended board of the principal or the teachers' assembly. Students also have a representative on the School Centre Council.
