Performance

In our experience, students who do well in Maths, Slovenian, Foreign Language and Physics in primary school and who have good working habits tend to perform better.

Matura or the Vocational Baccalaureate

Schooling ends with the Vocational Baccalaureate. It includes a compulsory and an elective part.

The compulsory part consists of a written and oral part of an exam in Slovene and Woodworking, while the optional part consists of Mathematics or a Foreign Language.

 Opportunities after finishing education

The Vocational Baccalaureate offers students the opportunity to find employment in the extremely wide and varied field of woodworking: sawmills, furniture industry, joinery industry, timber, laminated timber beams, panelling, veneer production, prefabrication of prefabricated timber houses, wood engineering, shipbuilding, production of specific machinery for timber production, etc.

Wood technicians are happily employed in furniture stores, building material shops, etc.

In addition to professional skills, the school also offers sufficient entrepreneurial skills to make it easier to set up and successfully run your own business.

The Vocational Baccalaureate also opens up a range of new opportunities for further study in all higher and higher education programmes.

University studies are also possible, but require an exam in one of the Baccalaureate subjects. The Woodwork High School provides good starting conditions for the fulfilment of professional ambitions and dreams.
