Deficit occupations are occupations for which there are not enough people on the labour market to meet the needs of employers who require them. The scarcity of a particular occupation thus results from a mismatch between demand and supply in the labour market.
The carpentry programme is a deficit occupation.

Zois ScholarshipsZois scholarships are awarded as an incentive to achieve exceptional achievements and thereby create added value in the field of knowledge, research, development activity and art. They are intended to promote education and to achieve a higher level of education, to increase the responsibility of scholarship recipients for their education as well as for choosing an educational program, shortening the duration of education and improving employability.
