WOODWORKER

The woodworker vocational training programme trains people to work on basic woodworking machines, to carry out simpler tasks, to participate in the manufacture of components and in the assembly of products in the woodworking industry, in sawmilling...

Healthy legs, skilled hands and fingers, a sense of precision, good eyesight and hearing are important psychophysical requirements for this occupation.

Course of the programme

Conditions for admission

Successful completion of the seventh, eighth or ninth grade of primary school, or successful completion of a specialised primary school.

Performance

In our experience, students who do well in Maths, Slovenian, Foreign Language and Physics in primary school and who have good working habits tend to perform better.

Final exam

The education is completed by a final exam, which consists of a practical examination (product development and presentation). The duration of education is two years.

Buying new textbooks is a significant expense for students and their parents, so we offer the possibility to borrow school textbooks. Our textbook stock includes all textbooks approved in the catalogue of textbooks for vocational, technical and other professional schools. We have sets of textbooks for all programmes in all years of study, and students can also borrow individual textbooks.

The loan fee is one third of the value of the textbooks.
